Emperial Justice
In ancient empires, “imperial justice” was often less about fairness and more about spectacle. For example, in the Roman Empire, if someone was sentenced by the emperor, their punishment might take place in an arena in front of thousands. People weren’t just executed—they were sometimes forced into elaborate, staged “performances” of mythological stories, where the condemned played the role of a character fated to die, and then actually died as part of the show. #TITSCR3W TITANS
