Sampler Explained

A sampler takes recorded audio and turns it into a playable instrument. Load a single piano note into a sampler, and it maps that sample across a MIDI keyboard, pitching it up and down to create a full range of notes. This ability to turn any recorded audio into a playable, performable instrument is what makes samplers foundational to beat production.
